Support Your Community

West Carleton Disaster Relief (WCDR) is a local non-profit dedicated to helping our communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. When emergencies strike, WCDR is here—on the ground, supporting families, coordinating resources, and ensuring that help reaches those who need it most.

Why Donate Locally?

When you give to WCDR, your donation stays in West Carleton, directly supporting the people and communities around you. Unlike national organizations, WCDR understands the unique challenges our area faces, has strong relationships with local leaders, and is equipped to respond quickly and effectively. Your support not only helps with immediate disaster relief but also funds preparedness initiatives that strengthen our community before the next emergency.

Two Ways to Give

We have two fundraising streams, ensuring donations are used effectively:

  • Operational Fund: Supports WCDR’s ongoing preparedness programs, workshops, operational costs, and organizational development.

  • Response & Recovery Fund: Used exclusively during disaster events to cover volunteer efforts and direct community response and recovery operations. Any remaining funds are set aside for future disaster response and are not used for WCDR’s operational expenses.

During an active disaster, a separate donation page will be set up to collect funds specifically for that event.

Make an Impact Today

Your donation helps ensure that when disaster strikes, West Carleton is ready. Whether it's providing urgent relief, rebuilding after a crisis, or preparing for future emergencies, your generosity makes a real difference.
